MOVIE: Ghosts in the fog

Today I joined Han Bouwmeester for a Crane photography excursion. We had a great day, first enjoying the sound coming from the fog, and a little later the Cranes appearing as ghosts in the distance. In the afternoon we saw large groups of Cranes flying and feeding at a distance. Due to the shyness of the groups, we were not able to come anywhere close enough for close ups, but we had a great day nonetheless. In this case filming really added something to photography, as I can now capture the sound they make.

MOVIE: photographing Mushrooms

Today I joined a group from Nederpix in a mushroom photography excursion. As there isn’t much action in mushrooms, I made this impression of the day. Its a bit shaky sometimes, but holding a video camera turns out to be somewhat different from holding a photo camera.
